I’m Jerome and I’m the host of Bottomless Coffee Podcast, editor of the podcast episodes, designer of the website, manager of the social media, and … you get the idea. I partnered with a friend to create Bottomless Coffee Podcast so that we can all relish in great conversations about topics that we’re genuinely interested in. And it’s going so well! As a politician and a former attorney I have a strong familiarity with many of the fundamental issues that we discuss and – if I do say so myself – I’ve gotten pretty good at asking questions that turn our episodes from just some conversation to fill your day into content that may help shift your perspective or expand your worldview. Now, I’m creating the Bottomless Coffee Community so that the people who are really mining insights out of the podcast episodes can have a space to connect with each other.
Podcast
Bottomless Coffee Podcast is a weekly interview-style podcast between the regular host Jerome (me), an occasional guest-host, and an invited guest. No topic of conversation is off the table but we work hard to maintain a forward-thinking perspective and to keep the energy of the conversation upbeat. The coffee helps with that. So far we have had conversations with politicians, business owners, nonprofit founders, activists, environmentalists, city planners, marketers, and people who are passionate enough about a topic to want to talk about it – and every conversation has been great.
To support the quality of the podcast I launched a Patreon and so far I have received enough support to keep the episodes coming. I’ll soon be exploring podcast monetization to get help with editing the podcasts.
Community
The Bottomless Coffee Community is made up of Patreon supporters and they’re an incredible bunch! I’m now working to connect them with each other so that they aren’t limited to conversations in Instagram comments or in a Facebook group. I anticipate that we will have a dedicated Discord server within the first half of 2021 and from there we will begin livestreaming the podcast conversations when guests are comfortable with that format.
